How is the console version different from PC?
Frontier says the game was designed to play well everywhere, and the controls are the same choice on both: gamepad or mouse and keyboard. The one stated difference is the complexity meter on console.
The complexity meter is a build cap. The FAQ describes it as a tool to keep performance up on console hardware, and confirms there is a build cap for console players. Frontier has not published how large a console zoo can grow before the meter fills.

Does Planet Zoo 2 support Xbox Play Anywhere?
Yes. Both the Standard and Deluxe listings in the Microsoft Store carry the Xbox Play Anywhere tag, which means buying it once gives you the Xbox Series X|S and the Windows PC version through the Xbox app.
Is Planet Zoo 2 coming to PS4, Xbox One or Switch 2?
No plans for any of them. The official FAQ says there are no plans for previous-generation consoles, and no current plans for Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. Players without a current console or a strong PC can stream it through NVIDIA GeForce NOW; see the system requirements.
Can console and PC players share zoos?
Yes, through the Frontier Workshop. The FAQ says you can share creations and download other players’ parks and blueprints across platforms. There is no multiplayer; what that means for playing with friends is in Planet Zoo 2 multiplayer.
What does the PS5 Deluxe Edition include?
