What time does Planet Zoo 2 release?

Can you pre-load Planet Zoo 2?
On Steam, yes. Frontier said on October 9 that players who have pre-purchased will be able to pre-load, and that it is aiming to open pre-load at 3 PM BST on October 12, exactly a day before launch. The download needs 40 GB of free space, according to the Steam requirements.
Frontier has not published pre-load times for PlayStation 5 or Xbox. The full PC and Steam Deck details are in the system requirements.
Does the Deluxe Edition give early access?
No. Frontier announced one launch time for everyone, and neither the official buy page nor the store listings mention early access for any edition. What the Deluxe Edition adds is six extra species and animal signs; see the editions and prices.
Is there a Planet Zoo 2 beta?
No beta has been announced. Frontier’s official FAQ, store pages and the Steam announcements up to October 11, 2026 do not mention a beta or a free demo. The first chance to play is the October 13 launch.
When do the physical editions come out?
A week later. The official FAQ says physical disc editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launch on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, and can be pre-ordered at major retailers. There is no physical PC release in the FAQ. More on the console versions is in Planet Zoo 2 on PS5 and Xbox.
