What is the Frontier Workshop?

A library of player-made creations inside the game. Frontier says thousands of community blueprints can be browsed and placed without leaving the game, and you can subscribe to favourites. Uploading your own takes a few steps. It works across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and needs an internet connection.

What is a blueprint?

A saved build, such as a shop, a habitat or a whole aquarium, that you can place in one click. Frontier also ships its own ready-made blueprints. Blueprints work in zoos and in Wildlife Reserves.

Does Planet Zoo 2 support mods?

Frontier has not announced mod support. Its FAQ and feature articles talk only about the Workshop and blueprints, which are the supported way to use other players’ creations on every platform. This page will be updated if Frontier says more after launch.

Is it the Steam Workshop?

No. Planet Zoo 2 uses Frontier’s own Workshop so the same creations reach console players. The Steam listing does not list Steam Workshop support. Sharing is the only cross-platform social feature; see Planet Zoo 2 multiplayer.
