Why is there violence in a zoo game?
The boards’ descriptors are “mild violence” and “mild blood”, plus “crude humor” from the ESRB; the store pages give no further detail, and Frontier has not commented. Australia’s PG lists only mild themes.
Why does Steam show 14, 16 or 18 in some countries?
Steam’s data marks those three ratings as generated, and they do not match the board certificates. Germany shows the gap clearly: the official USK certificate is 0, while Steam’s generated German rating says 16. For buying decisions, rely on the board ratings in the first four rows.
Is Planet Zoo 2 suitable for children?
The official ratings say yes for most ages: 7 in Europe, 10 and up in North America. Younger players may need help with reading and the management side; the beginner guide shows the basic steps. Accessibility options include font scaling and phobia image replacement.
